Terms and Conditions
The promoter is Electric Ireland, PO Box 12523, Dublin 9, Ireland. Electric Ireland is the customer supply business unit of Electricity Supply Board.
By entering, Entrants will be deemed to have accepted, and be bound by, these Terms and Conditions. All entry instructions form part of the rules.
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the promotion and/or these Terms and Condition of the promotion at any time and for any reason whatsoever.
In the event of any dispute regarding the promotion, the conduct or results of the promotion or any other matter relating to the promotion, the decision of the Promoter shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into, comment issued or reason given in respect of any decision made by the Promoter.
This promotion is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland who are aged 18 and over. Entrants may be required to provide proof of age and/or identity.
Employees of the Promoter, Electric Supply Board and its wholly-owned subsidiaries or agents of the Promoter or anyone professionally connected with the promotion and their immediate families are precluded from entering the promotion.
No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete, illegible or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries not in accordance with the entry instructions will not be accepted.
By accepting these terms and conditions, entrants hereby declare that they are the sole owners of the videos submitted and contents therein. Entrants confirm that submitted entries do not contain any third party copyright material, or material that is subject to other third party proprietary rights (including rights of privacy or rights of publicity) unless the participant is legally entitled to post the material in question.
Entrants agree to indemnify the Promoter against all losses suffered by the Promoter as a result of any claim or potential claim by any third party arising out of the video submitted by the entrant.
Entrants must obtain the consent of all individuals shown in the entry before entering a video.
Competition entries will be accepted from 12:01am on Monday the 17th of August 2015 until 5pm on Friday the 21st of August 2015.
Entries are submitted via Twitter or Instagram by completing the following steps:
Register your Instagram or Twitter handle on 90spowerparty.ie, enter your email address and accept the terms and conditions. Make sure youre Instagram or Twitter profile has been set to public.
Upload your video to the relevant channel/s with “#90sPowerParty”.
Share your video to Facebook (optional).
Entries will be published on the website www.90spowerparty.ie at the discretion of the Promoter and/or its agents and the Promoter reserves the right to withhold any entries as it sees fit. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence shall be entered into.
All videos are subject to a moderation process. Videos will be moderated between 8.30am and 5.3pm each day during the competition period therefore valid entries will be added to the gallery during these times only.
Participants may enter multiple videos per day, however, only one video associated with each user account registered is eligible to win over the duration of the competition and the same video may only be submitted once via Twitter or Instagram.
Winning entries will be selected each day by an independent judge and the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entries at its sole discretion. The winner each day will be the entrant who, in the opinion of the judge, has submitted the video which most embodies the spirit of the campaign in a creative, unique and humorours manner.
Two winners selected each day will receive three weekend tickets to Electric Picnic, 4th – 6th September 2015.
Videos will be eligible to win over the competition period as follows:
Day 1, Winner 1 – videos submitted between 12:01am and 12pm on the 17th of August.
Day 1, Winner 2 – videos submitted between 12pm and 4pm on the 18th of August.
Day 2, Winner 1 – videos submitted between 4pm on the 17th of August and 12pm on the 18th of August.
Day 2, Winner 2 – videos submitted between 12pm and 4pm on the 18th of August.
Day 3, Winner 1 – videos submitted between 4pm on the 18th of August and 12pm on the 19th of August.
Day 3, Winner 2 – videos submitted between 12pm and 4pm on the 19th of August.
Day 4, Winner 1 – videos submitted between 4pm on the 19th of August and 12pm on the 20th of August.
Day 4, Winner 2 – videos submitted between 12pm and 4pm on the 20th of August.
Day 5, Winner 1 – videos submitted between 4pm on the 20th of August and 12pm on the 21st of August.
Day 5, Winner 2 – videos submitted between 12pm and 5pm on the 21st of August.
All valid entries will be featured within the video gallery for the duration of the competition.
The winning videos will be announced via Electric Ireland’s social media channels and on the winner’s gallery of the website www.90spowerparty.ie within two hours of the eligibility submission deadlines noted above. Winning entrants will be removed from the competition at this point and are no longer eligible to submit entries for the remainder of the promotion.
Winners will be notified via email within 24 hours.
Prizes not claimed within 72 hours will lapse and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with the promotion rules.
The prizes are non-transferable and NO CASH ALTERNATIVES OR REFUNDS will be offered. The prize will be subject to any additional terms and conditions of the supplier of the prize to the Promoter.
By entering the competition the entrant will be deemed to consent to the transfer of the personal data to the Promoter for the purposes of the administration of the promotions and for any other purpose to which the entrant has consented. Electric Ireland may use the personal data supplied for the purpose of administering the promotion and may combine the personal data provided by you with public personal data about you, including personal data published by you on social media, and with personal data it already holds about you to help it to further understand its customers’ habits, to provide a better service to its customers and to provide its customers with the relevant tailored offers by email, SMS or post. An opt-out facility will be provided with any marketing communication.
The entrant grants the Promoter a worldwide, royalty free, perpetual licence to use any and all intellectual property in the video submitted, including but not limited to:
the right to use the video and/or its contents in any advertising or promotional activity;
the right to broadcast the contents of the video on Electric Ireland’s website, on social media, or at the Electric Picnic event.
The Promoter is not responsible, and does not accept any liability, for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, caused by participating in the promotion. However, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall operate as to limit the Promoter’s liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter (including the Promotion), existence, negotiation, validity, termination or enforceability (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Irish law.
The Courts of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter, existence, negotiation, validity, termination or enforceability (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
